During Naropa University's Summer Writing Program, I was thrilled to teach a course on traditional and innovative approaches to the global personal-political narrative during Week 3: Roots & Lineages. It was intense and covered lots of ground in daily discussions and freewrites; students also participated in Skype Q&As with esteemed author Naomi Benaron (author of Bellwether Prize-winning novel Running the Rift) and international poet/artist Natasha Marin, whose Red Lineage project inspired them to make their own sound and class collaboration. Watch the result here.
Faculty Reading: June 17, 7:00PM. With Jen Hofer, Hoa Nguyen, Jack Collom, Lewis Warsh.
